We don't sell your data. Ever. Waiting For A Mate is built to help you share referral codes with friends, not to monetize your personal information.

What We Collect

To run the app, we collect:

• Your email address (for account access)
• Your name (to identify you to friends)
• Profile photo (optional, to personalize your profile)
• Referral codes you share
• Group memberships

How You Sign In

We offer several ways to create an account:

• Email and password
• Magic links (passwordless email login)
• Google OAuth

Your password is securely hashed and we never store it in plain text.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Run the app and its features
• Track leaderboard rankings
• Show you relevant referral codes
• Send occasional product updates (you can opt out)

We also collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app.

Advertising

We display banner ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and browsing data to show relevant ads. You can adjust your ad preferences in your device settings.

Who Sees Your Data

• Group members can see your profile and codes you share (that's the point!)
• Our team may access your data for support purposes
• We don't share your data with third parties for marketing

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently removes:

• Your profile and personal information
• All your referral codes
• Your group memberships
• Your activity history

If you're the only admin of a group, you'll need to add another admin first.

Age Requirement

You must be 13 years or older to use Waiting For A Mate. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Convex, a cloud database service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our servers are located in the United States.
